Charles John Armond
Died 26th October 1917
Charles was the Eldest son of Mr & Mrs C J Armond of 10 Park Rd. Before the war
he worked at Sittingbourne paper mills. His widow and young daughter lived at 48 Shakespear Rd.

David Ashby
Died 30th June 1915
Age 23
David died of wounds received at Gallipoli. He was treated at Ghezireh No2 Hospital, Egypt
but his wounds to his spinal cord, due to gun shot, were so severe that he was paralyzed in the lower body and only
survived a month after receiving the wound. He joined the AIF in 1914. Before the War had started and when he lived in
England, had served for three years with the Buffs.
