Thomas Quaife

Died 4th November 1917

Aged 27

Thomas died of wounds he recieved in action, Thomas was a native of Cranbrook, But for many years worked at Sittingbourne CO-OP in East Street. He Joined the East Kent Yeomanry in 1915 and at the time of his death had served 18 months in the Egyptian Expeditionary Force and had been attached to a Battalion of the Buffs. Thomas was in action at Beersheba on October 31st and presumably received his fatal wound in the attack on Gaza.
